Kumori entered Murky Path, ears forward. Places like this were nice. A fine place for Dark Types like he and Kei! A nice beggining, he supposed. Keishou, the Shiny Absol, trotted at Kumori's side - slightly ahead as if to say: You are not my master. The Umbreon smiled at his partner, figuring the two would have plenty of time and adventures ahead to bond through. For now...He reached into his pack and pulled out his Synrix, blowing lightly on the pipes to produce lilting little sounds.

Eyes looked at the two intruders from within the leaves of trees and bushes. Leaves rustled every once in awhile. Sometimes you could see a outline of a pokemon on the horizon then disappear. A howl was heard nearby.

A purple eye peered into the bushes, but he felt no fear. If something meant to attack or was mad at his intrusion a warning growl would have been produced. And since none was, Kumo kept playing. Though now with one eye open, curious. Kei's fur bristled at the howl, he was feeling edgy since he didn't know the territory. But he was eager to prove to his Trainer he didn't need him, and was waiting for the perfect moment to show him so. He figured winning a Battle would do it.

Something rustled in the bushes near Kumo and Kei. A Poochyena appeared from its leafy camouflage. He growled at Kumo and Kei, wanting them out of his territory.

Kumori blinked as the 'Yena leaped out of hiding, noting his fellow Type's agression. "Pardon us." he said with a bow of his head. He hated to upset a fellow Type. Kei, however, had no such notion, casting a Leer at the dog Pokemon and taking a challenger's stance.

At first the Poochyena was going to let them pass through. But since the Absol used Leer, he decided against it. He countered with Howl.

"Kei - no!" but it was too late. Kumo could see that. He sighed as Keishou grinned, raised attack wouldn't help the fallen Defense. He charged, claws outstretched in a Scratch.

The Poochyena dodged Kei's attack. He sent a Sand Attack his way, followed by a Tackle. He wasn't going to give up easily with a fight.

Kei grunted, shaking sand out of his fur. He used Leer again - taking the Tackle with ease and countering with a Scratch. He was going to win this battle. To show Kumo who was the real boss here.

The Scratch hit, but the Poochyena just shrugged it off. There was a reason he had his own territory. He sent another Sand-Attack at Kei.

Kei growled, his Leers didn't appear to be working. No matter. He used Leer twice more, and bunched his muscles; ready to roll out of Tackle's way (since he was beyond sure that's the move the 'Yena would use).

The Poochyena suddenly had an idea. He ran for a nearby bush and disappeared into it. As soon as he had found what he was looking for, he bit into it and pulled backwards.

As soon as the Poochyena was out of sight, Kumori attempted to reason with Keishou. "Look, you don't need to fight him. He's stronger than you and he's a Dark Pokemon." he said the last bit because he only wanted Dark Pokemon to travel with them if they wished. Not because he'd beaten them senseless. Kei simply snorted, and unbunched his muscles in reply.

The Poochyena slacken a little bit on his grip but was prepared to strike if he needed to. The leaves above him rustled over head. Movement caught his eye from the branches above.

Keishou turned his head away from the Poochyena; as though saying he was too good to fight the mutt anyway. Kumori sighed at this, "I'm really very sorry about this." his ears perked, twitched, and then his eyes looked up at the leaves, curious.
