South shore is the best spot to go fishing. The soft sand is perfect for a long nap, and the fresh water of the lake provides a wonderful view.

North Shore isn't the nicest place for a rest. The low hills are covered in rocks, and the sand is gritty. Not to mention the fact that the water on this side of the lake is murky from the abundant rock and ground pokemon living nearby.

Center Clearing is the main meeting place of all the pokemon. It is shadowed by Evergreen Hill, and the sillhouete of the trees makes for a wonderful view at sunset.

This is the name for the unexplored part of the forest. Many pokemon are too scared to come here,but there are a few fearless,mad or bold enough to explore its dark depths.

This river runs through the forest of Karaku. It is always steaming hot, even on a cold day and no-one knows where it gets all it's heat from. It is a slow flowing river where many pokemon come to relax.

This is basically a lava river. Many fire pokemon live along its banks. The trees are half a mile away from its banks on either side. Any closer,they would burst into flames because of the intense heat.

A long stretch of swampland that you have to cross in order to reach Route 1. Poison-type pokemon swarm here, with the occasional Dark-type.

As you exit the Murky Path, you begin to notice things get drier. Route 1 is basically a large plain of grassland, with a few lakes. Bug, Grass and flying types are found here, along with water and a few dragon types nearer the lakes. Fighting types can be found here too, but only very rarely.

Sub-board: The Huts

This small village is mainly tents,with a few huts. There is a pokemon center here, but no mart or gym. The people here are very friendly.

The Anora river is said to be a mile wide. It is impossible to cross without a water pokemon, but there are plenty to be found by it's shore.

If you can't cross the River, you have to cross this bridge. However, you have to pay 15 posts to get across each time, and there are three challenges to complete before you can reach the next city.

Once you manage to cross the Anora River, you'll quickly come acroass Kio Town. It's the place of many festivities, and it's lush grass just outside the town borders is home to many pokemon of all types.

Once you exit the lush paradise of Kio Town, the ground quickly changes to the soil of a desert. Route 2 is a long, winding path that is often interrupted by sand drifts and large boulders. Rock and Ground pokemon are common here.

Sasqui City is the next big stop. It has the first gym, which is Water-type, along with a department store and a pokecenter.

After you come out of the city, one comes across a strange forest where Eevee are strangely common. There are other pokemon here too,such as grass,bug and fighting types,but they are rare. Sometimes, one of Eevee's 7 evoloutions is spotted here, but no-one yet has ever captured one.

Ghost Path is home to, you guessed it, ghost pokemon. There's the occasional Eevee or evolution that wanders in, but other than that, it's dead.

You're in for some trouble if you don't have one of those Dark-types found so rarely before Route 1. There's the occasional abandoned house where you can stay the night and hope that you'll be safe in the morning, or you can head right on down the path and hope for the best.

If you manage to get through the Ghost Path,you'll come across a short dirt track. Commonly known as 'Drifloon Way' because the only pokemon to be found here are Drifloon. It is not recommended to challange any of them,however,as a Drifblim will be quick to arrive on the scene.

This village is often known as 'Windy Village' because it is the most windy place in all of Karaku. It has a Mart and a Pokemon Center,as well as a market place where the locals sell all sorts of items for small amounts of Posts.

The aptly named Kurai or Shadow Pass is full of nocturnal pokemon. It also contains ice pokemon as it is cold and windy here. It is rumoured that anyone who goes into the Pass never returns.
Also known as the Sunless Pass,since the sun never shines here.

If you manage to get through Kurai Pass, you'll soon come across the second town with a gym. It's Poison-type. After this the pokemon start getting quite a but tougher, so you may want to stock up on great balls in the Mart.

Kisho Mountain is home to many of the fire-types of Karaku. Deep inside the mountain there's a legendary pokemon, but in order to reach him, you have to have completed all 8 gyms.

If you manage to navigate your way through Kisho Mountain, you'll end up in Electo Valley. It's flat ground is filled with Electric pokemon, so bring lot's of Paralyze Heals.

Echo Town is right in the middle of Electo Valley. Here the third gym is located, the type being Electric.

As the name suggests,there is never any wind in this valley,so it is constantly dry and hot. Steel,Fire and Fighting types are very common here.

This place contains electric and steel pokemon,since the Ironworks is nearby.

This city is where people train in karate and samuri skills. There is a Pokemon Center,a Mart a Dojo Gym and an official Karaku gym here. Beware,the gym leader uses fighting type pokemon!

After you pass through Samura City, you'll come across Hiraki Bay. It's filled with water pokemon, and if you don't have one with Surf by now, you're out of luck.

However, there's a secret to this place that few know. A colony of Dratini live deep beneath the glassy surface, and if you manage to find one, they make excellent companions.

Kami City is home to the fifth gym, which houses Bug type pokemon. It has the normal Mart and Pokecenter, along with a special twist. This city is where you can get your fossils resurected into pokemon.

Once a beautiful meadow of flowers leading to Hana Fields, it is now a wasteland. Poison pokemon reside here.

Fabled to be the home of the legendary pokemon, Shaymin, it is now a wasteland like Route 5. There is a prophecy stating that the flowers shall be restored when the child of the flowers return.
